Although not officially called this, we refer to PTP Fitness' handgrip strengtheners as the 'Strength Donuts'. The come in a pair - one donut is lighter resistance, the other is more difficult. The softer grip is designer for port-trauma rehabilitation, such as getting over an injury or surgery. The firmer donut is intended for strengthening and injury prevention.
Because of their shape and size, the provide a great strengthening workout for your hands and grip, are easy to keep a hold of and are also great for improving finger dexterity.
We love them but wouldn't recommend attempting to eat them - they don't taste very good....
